What a Terry job usually involves
A lot of the calls we take start with somebody having tried a big-box garage floor kit. Those sit on top of sealed concrete and peel, and the removal is more work than the original job would have been.
Residential floors are usually a one day job start to finish.
Pool surrounds are seasonal work here. The concrete gets hot underfoot and slick when wet, and a textured coating with a cooler pigment fixes both.
Most of what we do in a town like this is residential garages, and the pattern repeats: a slab poured with the house, sealed once by a previous owner, and now dusting badly and stained where the car parks. The fix is mechanical. Grind the sealer off, open the concrete, patch what needs patching and build the system back up properly.

Before we quote anything
Slabs around Laurel and down toward the coast are mostly 1970s to 1990s pours, and they were finished hard. A hard-troweled surface has almost no porosity left, which is why paint peels off it in sheets. Grinding opens that surface back up so resin can key into the concrete instead of sitting on top of it.
Epoxy is the body of the system and polyaspartic is the armour. The epoxy bonds and builds thickness, the topcoat takes the abrasion and the UV. Using one without the other is where most cheap floors go wrong.
Living with it afterwards
If a crack appears in the slab years later, that is the concrete moving, not the coating failing. It can be chased and repaired without redoing the floor.
Warehouse floors want a scrubber with the right pad, not the most aggressive one available.

Commercial work around Terry
A fair amount of our work around here starts as a phone call about dust. Unsealed concrete sheds fine powder constantly, it gets into everything stored in the garage, and no amount of sweeping fixes it because the floor itself is the source.
Garages here tend to be attached, which changes two things. The dust has somewhere to go, so containment matters more, and the slab usually shares a pour with the house foundation, so movement is less of a problem than on a detached shop.

Gulf Coast concrete carries moisture. Slabs poured on sand without a vapour barrier wick water up through the mix continuously, and that vapour pressure is what lifts a coating months after it looked perfect. We test for it before quoting, because the honest answer sometimes is a moisture-tolerant system rather than standard epoxy.
Cure times are temperature dependent, and a garage in August behaves differently from the same garage in January. We schedule around it rather than pretending it does not matter.

How the day runs
We start by finding the cracks nobody mentioned. We arrive with the grinder and the dust extraction, and the first stretch is noise and containment rather than anything that looks like progress. Getting the slab open and clean is what the rest of the day depends on.
Cracks get chased out and filled, high spots come down, and any old coating comes off rather than getting buried. Then the primer goes on and the day becomes a sequence with cure windows in it. The whole system goes down in one visit on most homes.
The crew is family. That is why the quote and the finished floor match. Nothing gets lost between the quote and the floor because it is the same people doing both.
