What the install actually looks like
First we make the slab ready, then the finish is the easy part.
The slab sets the spec, not the brochure. We turn up with the grinder and the extraction first, and the first hour is dust and noise rather than anything that looks like progress. Grind to expose the aggregate you want, then seal rather than mechanically polish.
Once the slab is open and clean we chase any cracks, fill them, and grind those flat. Then the primer goes down, and from that point the day is a sequence with cure windows in it rather than a job you can rush. Most jobs need one day of our time and none of yours.

What we find under a grind and seal job
Where a floor has been patched repeatedly with different products, each patch behaves differently under a grinder and under resin. Sometimes the right call is removing the patches entirely.
Exterior concrete has UV and thermal cycling on top of everything else. Materials that are fine indoors amber and chalk outside, so exterior work gets a UV-stable topcoat as standard.
The system we specify
The chip blend changes how a floor hides dirt. Multi-tone blends with some dark in them stay looking clean far longer than a single pale colour.
Polyaspartic topcoats cure faster and hold colour better under UV than standard epoxy clears. They also go down in a wider temperature window, which matters when you are working through a Mississippi summer.

Why the system matters more than the colour
A resin floor is four products stacked in order, and each one has a job. The primer wets into the open concrete and grips. The base coat builds thickness and carries the pigment. The broadcast layer, whether that is vinyl flake or graded quartz, gives the floor its texture and most of its wear resistance. The topcoat takes the abrasion and the UV so the layers underneath never see either.
Skip a layer and the floor still looks right on day one. It fails in month eight, usually along the door line where the sun hits or in the wheel tracks where the load concentrates. That is the difference between a coating and a system, and it is not visible in a photograph.

Living with the floor afterwards
If a crack appears in the slab years later, that is the concrete moving, not the coating failing. It can be chased and repaired without redoing the floor.
Keep grit off it and a coated floor lasts. Grit under a tyre or a boot is abrasive, and abrasion is the only thing that genuinely wears a good topcoat.

Where abouts do you work?
Yes. We cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish, roughly a hundred miles out from Laurel.
Who am I actually hiring?

Can I see the colour before deciding?
Yes. We bring the chip deck out and you pick the blend against your own light and your own walls. Colours read differently under LED, under a skylight and under a garage door that is half open, so choosing off a photograph is how people end up disappointed.
What if the floor is damp?
Some floors do not need coating at all. If the slab is sound and the use is light, polishing or sealing the concrete itself is cheaper and lasts longer. We will say so.
Do I need to reseal it?
A coated floor can be repaired in place. Damage gets ground back locally, rebuilt and blended, which is not possible with tile or with polished concrete.
What stops it peeling?
Cure times are temperature dependent, and a garage in August behaves differently from the same garage in January. We schedule around it rather than pretending it does not matter.
