Why the company exists
Kevin founded ICM in 2021 wanting work he could pass on and a reputation worth inheriting. That sounds like a line until you understand what it rules out. It rules out sending a subcontractor you have never met. It rules out quoting a system and installing a cheaper one. It rules out finishing a floor you would not put in your own garage.
Aaron Garner, Kyler Welch and Averie Garner are the people who keep it going. The crew that quotes your floor is the crew that grinds it, coats it and cleans up after itself. Nothing gets lost in a handover because there is no handover.
What Duraflex certification actually means
We install Duraflex systems. The certification matters less than what it means in practice, which is that the product data is real, the cure windows are tested, and there is a manufacturer standing behind the spec rather than a generic resin bought on price.
In practice it means the cure windows we quote are tested numbers rather than optimism, the products in each layer are designed to go together, and when we say a floor will take hot tyres there is data behind it. Plenty of coatings are sold on a colour chart. We would rather be judged on what the floor looks like in five years.
Slabs around Laurel and down toward the coast are mostly 1970s to 1990s pours, and they were finished hard. A hard-troweled surface has almost no porosity left, which is why paint peels off it in sheets. Grinding opens that surface back up so resin can key into the concrete instead of sitting on top of it.
How we work
A coating is only as good as the grind under it. Older residential slabs in Jones County often have a soft top layer from being finished too wet. It looks solid and crumbles under a grinder. If we find that, the fix is grinding past it to sound concrete rather than coating over a layer that is already failing.
Most houses are done inside a day, then 12 hours to foot traffic.

Where we work
We work out of Laurel and cover roughly a hundred miles in every direction. That takes in Jones County, Rankin, Simpson and Lamar to the north and west, the whole Mississippi coast from Bay St. Louis through Biloxi to Pascagoula, across into Baldwin and Mobile County in Alabama, and west to St. Tammany Parish.
