What we install here
New pours need to cure before they are coated, and the wait is longer than most people expect. Coating green concrete traps water under the film. We would rather push the date than come back to a blistered floor.
Thickness is specified from the load, not from a brochure. A residential garage and a forklift aisle both get epoxy, and they are not the same floor.
Where chemical exposure is specific, the resin is chosen against the actual list. Novolac epoxies handle acids that standard epoxy does not.
The systems people ask about most
Full flake
Full flake broadcast means chip thrown to refusal, so the floor is a continuous layer of vinyl rather than a base coat with decoration on it. That is what gives the texture its grip and what stops the color wearing through. More on full flake.
Metallic
Metallic pigment is moved by hand while the resin is still open, so no two floors are the same. That is the appeal and it also means the installer matters more than the product. More on metallic.
Polished concrete
Polished concrete uses a densifier that reacts chemically with the slab, hardening it rather than coating it. There is nothing to peel because there is no film. More on polished concrete.
Moisture, contamination and surface profile are the three things that decide whether a floor lasts. Color is the easy part and the only part most people ask about.
If something is spilled that should not be there, wipe it rather than leaving it to sit. Coatings are resistant, not immune, and contact time is what decides whether resistance matters.
Detached shops and workshops are common on the bigger lots, and those slabs are a different job. They are often unsealed, frequently damp because there is no vapor barrier underneath, and they have usually had something spilled on them. Moisture testing decides the system.

One day, one crew, then cure time does the rest.
Patios and porches are the other half of the residential work in this area. Exterior concrete goes gray, grows algae in the shade and turns slick when it rains, and a UV-stable textured coating solves all three at once.
Humidity is the constant in this part of the state. It affects cure times, it affects how the resin flows, and in summer it means working earlier in the day rather than pushing through the afternoon.
Living with the floor
A coated floor can be repaired in place. Damage gets ground back locally, rebuilt and blended, which is not possible with tile or with polished concrete.
Keep the drains clear in a wet room. Standing water is not a problem for the coating and is a problem for everything else.

Commercial and industrial work in Harrison County
Driveway aprons are worth mentioning because they are a separate pour from the garage slab and they move independently. The transition between them gets detailed deliberately rather than coated straight across.
Where a garage has been used as a workshop there is usually oil worked deep into the pores in one or two spots. Surface cleaning does not reach it. We grind it out and prime over what is left.
Dark floors show dust and light floors show tire marks. There is no color that hides everything, and we would rather say that than sell a finish that disappoints.
Where we are coming from
Laurel is home, and from here we reach Hattiesburg, Jackson, the Gulf Coast, coastal Alabama and the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain comfortably. Coast jobs and Baldwin County work are a normal week for us.
Full list on the service areas page.
How the day runs
Before anything is mixed we know what the floor is sitting on. The grinder and the extraction come in first, and the opening stretch of any job is dust control rather than visible progress.
Once the slab is open we chase the cracks, take down the high spots and remove whatever was on the floor before. A day on site is the normal answer for a residential floor.
Kevin Garner set this up in 2021 for his family to carry on.
Furniture and jack stands want pads under them. Point loads with sharp edges are the realistic way a residential floor gets damaged. Blends are on the finishes page and finished work is in the gallery.
Harrison County questions
Which towns in Harrison County do you cover?
All of them. Gulfport, Biloxi, Long Beach, Pass Christian, DeLisle.
How far will you travel?
We work out of Laurel and cover roughly a hundred miles in every direction. That takes in Jones County, Rankin, Simpson and Lamar to the north and west, the whole Mississippi coast from Bay St. Louis through Biloxi to Pascagoula, across into Baldwin and Mobile County in Alabama, and west to St. Tammany Parish.
Residential and commercial?
Both. Garages and patios through to kitchens, warehouses and clinics.
How long does an install take?
A standard install is one day of work and two days of patience.
What about the slab condition?
Some floors do not need coating at all. If the slab is sound and the use is light, polishing or sealing the concrete itself is cheaper and lasts longer. We will say so.
How do I start?
