What the install actually looks like
The floor tells us what it needs before we quote anything.
A coating is only as good as the grind under it. We turn up with the grinder and the extraction first, and the first hour is dust and noise rather than anything that looks like progress. Hard-wearing general-purpose build with zones.
Once the slab is open and clean we chase any cracks, fill them, and grind those flat. Then the primer goes down, and from that point the day is a sequence with cure windows in it rather than a job you can rush. One day install, 12 hours to walk, 48 to drive.

What we find under a maker space epoxy job
Some floors do not need coating at all. If the slab is sound and the use is light, polishing or sealing the concrete itself is cheaper and lasts longer. We will say so.
Basement and below-grade slabs are damp by default. A coating that works in a garage will not necessarily hold down there, so those rooms get a system chosen for moisture rather than for looks.
The system we specify
Dark floors show dust and light floors show tyre marks. There is no colour that hides everything, and we would rather say that than sell a finish that disappoints.
Primers, base, broadcast and topcoat are four separate products that have to be compatible. Mixing brands across layers is how delamination happens.

Small floors, specific problems
A small commercial floor is not a scaled down warehouse. The problems are concentrated. One wet area, one chair that rotates in the same spot every day, one chemical that gets spilled constantly. Specifying the whole room for the worst square metre is usually cheaper than specifying it for the average and repairing the worst part later.
The other reality is that these rooms cannot close. A barbershop or a salon loses its income the day it shuts. That pushes the work to a single overnight or weekend install with a fast-cure system, which is entirely doable as long as it is planned that way from the start rather than discovered halfway through.
Most residential floors go down in a single day. Walk on it in 12 hours, move heavy things at 24, park on it at 48.

Living with the floor afterwards
Keep the drains clear in a wet room. Standing water is not a problem for the coating and is a problem for everything else.
Sunlight through a garage door will fade a cheap floor unevenly along the door line. UV-stable topcoats exist precisely for that.

What do you do before any resin goes down?

Does it cope with the loads in here?
Welding, woodwork and rolling tool chests. We specify the build thickness against the actual use, not a standard sheet.
Is my area inside your radius?
Yes. We cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish, roughly a hundred miles out from Laurel.
Who will be in my building?
Family run out of Laurel since 2021, Duraflex certified.
Can I see the colour before deciding?
Yes. We bring the chip deck out and you pick the blend against your own light and your own walls. Colours read differently under LED, under a skylight and under a garage door that is half open, so choosing off a photograph is how people end up disappointed.
Does a cracked slab rule this out?
Older residential slabs in Jones County often have a soft top layer from being finished too wet. It looks solid and crumbles under a grinder. If we find that, the fix is grinding past it to sound concrete rather than coating over a layer that is already failing.
How do I stop it wearing?
Hot tyre pickup is a failure mode of cheap coatings, not of a properly installed flake and polyaspartic build. You can park on it hot without lifting the finish.
Why does the topcoat matter?
Moisture-tolerant primers exist for a reason and cost more for a reason. On a damp slab they are the difference between a floor and a warranty claim.
