How the day runs

Grind

Seamless food-safe build, coved at the walls.

Build

Pallet jacks, trolleys and daily washdown.

Cure

You lose the garage for a day, not a week.

What the install actually looks like

Good floors are decided during prep, not during the pour.

The slab sets the spec, not the brochure. We turn up with the grinder and the extraction first, and the first hour is dust and noise rather than anything that looks like progress. Seamless food-safe build, coved at the walls.

Once the slab is open and clean we chase any cracks, fill them, and grind those flat. Then the primer goes down, and from that point the day is a sequence with cure windows in it rather than a job you can rush. We are in and out in a day on most garages, then the floor cures.

Four names, one crew. Kevin Garner built the company in 2021 to pass it on. That matters on a grocery store epoxy job because the person who decided the spec is the person holding the squeegee, so nothing gets lost between the quote and the floor.

The slab decides the spec.

What we find under a grocery store epoxy job

Basement and below-grade slabs are damp by default. A coating that works in a garage will not necessarily hold down there, so those rooms get a system chosen for moisture rather than for looks.

Some floors do not need coating at all. If the slab is sound and the use is light, polishing or sealing the concrete itself is cheaper and lasts longer. We will say so.

The system we specify

Cure times are temperature dependent, and a garage in August behaves differently from the same garage in January. We schedule around it rather than pretending it does not matter.

Metallic pigment is moved by hand while the resin is still open, so no two floors are the same. That is the appeal and it also means the installer matters more than the product.

Specified from the load, not a brochure.

A retail floor is doing two jobs at once

It has to survive the traffic and it has to look like part of the fit-out. Those pull in opposite directions. The most durable finishes are textured and dark, and the finishes that photograph well are smooth and bright. Where a floor lands between those is a decision worth making deliberately rather than by default.

The practical constraint in retail is almost always time. You cannot close for a week. That means phasing the work, or working nights, or using a fast-cure system that is walkable before you open. All three are possible and they cost differently, so it is worth saying up front which one matters most to you.

We grind, coat and topcoat in one visit on most residential jobs.

What we plan around

·Your actual trading hours and the shortest usable shutdown
·Cleaning chemistry already in use by your staff or contractor
·Slip rating at entrances where rain gets walked in
·Whether the floor needs to match a brand color or a fit-out finish

What this floor has to put up with

Pallet jacks, trolleys and daily washdown. Seamless food-safe build, coved at the walls. That combination is what we specify against, and it is why a grocery store epoxy job is quoted from the room rather than from a rate card.

One surface from stockroom to aisle. Most houses are done inside a day, then 12 hours to foot traffic.

Living with the floor afterwards

Do not drag steel across it. Lift it, or put something under it.

Coated floors do not need to be stripped and resealed, which is where the savings against VCT actually come from.

From Laurel we cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish. If you are inside about a hundred miles, we will come and look at the slab. See the areas we cover.

Questions we get asked

How long does a grocery store epoxy job take?

One day install, 12 hours to walk, 48 to drive.

What preparation does grocery store epoxy need?

Seamless food-safe build, coved at the walls. What goes wrong with coatings almost always goes wrong underneath them.

Can it take the wear this room gets?

Pallet jacks, trolleys and daily washdown. We specify the build thickness against the actual use, not a standard sheet.

Which areas do you cover?

We cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish, roughly a hundred miles out from Laurel.

Is it your own crew?

A family operation out of Laurel, running since 2021.

Can I see the color before deciding?

Yes. We bring the chip deck out and you pick the blend against your own light and your own walls. Colors read differently under LED, under a skylight and under a garage door that is half open, so choosing off a photograph is how people end up disappointed.

What do you find under a floor like this?

Gulf Coast concrete carries moisture. Slabs poured on sand without a vapor barrier wick water up through the mix continuously, and that vapor pressure is what lifts a coating months after it looked perfect. We test for it before quoting, because the honest answer sometimes is a moisture-tolerant system rather than standard epoxy.

What maintenance does it need?

If something is spilled that should not be there, wipe it rather than leaving it to sit. Coatings are resistant, not immune, and contact time is what decides whether resistance matters.

What am I paying for in the build?

Metallic pigment is moved by hand while the resin is still open, so no two floors are the same. That is the appeal and it also means the installer matters more than the product.
