Patio Coatings done in a day
Outdoor concrete goes gray, grows algae and turns slick. Grind in the morning, coat in the afternoon, walk on it that night.
Turns a tired slab into somewhere you sit.
What we actually install
UV-stable coating with a textured broadcast so it stays grippy in rain.
Before anything is mixed we know what the floor is sitting on. Full sun, standing water and humidity that never really lets up.

Most of our residential installs are complete within a single working day.
What the install actually looks like
Preparation is the part customers never see and always pay for twice if it is skipped.
A coating is only as good as the grind under it. We turn up with the grinder and the extraction first, and the first hour is dust and noise rather than anything that looks like progress. UV-stable coating with a textured broadcast so it stays grippy in rain.
Once the slab is open and clean we chase any cracks, fill them, and grind those flat. Then the primer goes down, and from that point the day is a sequence with cure windows in it rather than a job you can rush. Residential floors are usually a one day job start to finish.
Kevin Garner founded ICM in 2021 wanting work he could hand down. Aaron, Kyler and Averie make that possible. That matters on a patio coatings job because the person who decided the spec is the person holding the squeegee, so nothing gets lost between the quote and the floor.
Choosing somebody to do our Floors was a hard decision but I am so happy we picked ICM coating masters. The results are beautiful and The time and effort put into the work was amazing.Verified review
Other systems floors we coat
The slab decides the spec.
What we find under a patio coatings job
Slabs with in-floor heat or embedded conduit change how aggressively we can grind. We locate it first rather than finding it with a diamond.

The system we specify
Clear topcoats are not all clear. Some amber noticeably within a year indoors under LED light. We use ones that do not.
Primers, base, broadcast and topcoat are four separate products that have to be compatible. Mixing brands across layers is how delamination happens.
Specified from the load, not a brochure.
Why the system matters more than the color
A resin floor is four products stacked in order, and each one has a job. The primer wets into the open concrete and grips. The base coat builds thickness and carries the pigment. The broadcast layer, whether that is vinyl flake or graded quartz, gives the floor its texture and most of its wear resistance. The topcoat takes the abrasion and the UV so the layers underneath never see either.
Skip a layer and the floor still looks right on day one. It fails in month eight, usually along the door line where the sun hits or in the wheel tracks where the load concentrates. That is the difference between a coating and a system, and it is not visible in a photograph.
Single day install is standard here. The waiting afterwards is just cure time.

What this floor has to put up with
Full sun, standing water and humidity that never really lets up. UV-stable coating with a textured broadcast so it stays grippy in rain. That combination is what we specify against, and it is why a patio coatings job is quoted from the room rather than from a rate card.
Turns a tired slab into somewhere you sit. Most residential floors go down in a single day. Walk on it in 12 hours, move heavy things at 24, park on it at 48.
Living with the floor afterwards
Snow and road salt tracked in should be rinsed off rather than left to dry. Salt is more aggressive to the concrete than to the coating.
Hot tire pickup is a failure mode of cheap coatings, not of a properly installed flake and polyaspartic build. You can park on it hot without lifting the finish.
From Laurel we cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish. If you are inside about a hundred miles, we will come and look at the slab. See the areas we cover.
Questions we get asked
How many days do you need on site?
Grind in the morning, coat in the afternoon, walk on it that night.
What is the prep work here?
UV-stable coating with a textured broadcast so it stays grippy in rain. We would rather spend the morning grinding than come back in a year.
How does it handle heavy use?
Full sun, standing water and humidity that never really lets up. We specify the build thickness against the actual use, not a standard sheet.
How far do you travel for this?
We cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish, roughly a hundred miles out from Laurel.
Who actually does the work?
We are not a franchise. Kevin, Aaron, Kyler and Averie are the company.
Can I see the color before deciding?
Yes. We bring the chip deck out and you pick the blend against your own light and your own walls. Colors read differently under LED, under a skylight and under a garage door that is half open, so choosing off a photograph is how people end up disappointed.
What if the concrete is in bad shape?
Basement and below-grade slabs are damp by default. A coating that works in a garage will not necessarily hold down there, so those rooms get a system chosen for moisture rather than for looks.
How do I clean it?
Coated floors do not need to be stripped and resealed, which is where the savings against VCT actually come from.
Why does this outlast a cheap coating?
Epoxy is the body of the system and polyaspartic is the armour. The epoxy bonds and builds thickness, the topcoat takes the abrasion and the UV. Using one without the other is where most cheap floors go wrong.
