Hinds County floor coatings
The Jackson metro. Older slabs, previous coatings, and a lot of commercial and industrial work. We are in and out in a day on most garages, then the floor cures.

What we install here
A slab that has been acid etched instead of ground has an inconsistent profile. Some areas take the coating and some do not, and you cannot tell which until it fails. We grind regardless of what was done before.
Slip resistance comes from profile, not from an additive stirred in at the end. Where a floor will be wet we build the texture in with graded aggregate and we tell you how it will feel underfoot.
Epoxy is the body of the system and polyaspartic is the armor. The epoxy bonds and builds thickness, the topcoat takes the abrasion and the UV. Using one without the other is where most cheap floors go wrong.
The systems people ask about most
Full flake
Full flake broadcast means chip thrown to refusal, so the floor is a continuous layer of vinyl rather than a base coat with decoration on it. That is what gives the texture its grip and what stops the color wearing through. More on full flake.
Metallic
Metallic pigment is moved by hand while the resin is still open, so no two floors are the same. That is the appeal and it also means the installer matters more than the product. More on metallic.
Polished concrete
Polished concrete uses a densifier that reacts chemically with the slab, hardening it rather than coating it. There is nothing to peel because there is no film. More on polished concrete.
Moisture, contamination and surface profile are the three things that decide whether a floor lasts. Color is the easy part and the only part most people ask about.
Expect the finish to look the same in five years if it is looked after. That is the point of specifying properly rather than cheaply.
We get asked about basements less here than on higher ground, but where there is one it is damp by default, and a coating that works in a garage will not necessarily hold down there.
What Hinds County jobs usually involve
We get asked about basements less here than on higher ground, but where there is one it is damp by default, and a coating that works in a garage will not necessarily hold down there.
The whole system goes down in one visit on most homes.
Patios and porches are the other half of the residential work in this area. Exterior concrete goes gray, grows algae in the shade and turns slick when it rains, and a UV-stable textured coating solves all three at once.
Humidity is the constant in this part of the state. It affects cure times, it affects how the resin flows, and in summer it means working earlier in the day rather than pushing through the afternoon.
Living with the floor
The honest maintenance answer is that there is almost none, and that is most of why people choose it.
A dust mop twice a week does more for the look of a floor than any product you can buy.

Commercial and industrial work in Hinds County
Church halls, small offices and community buildings turn up in most towns we work in, and those are almost always scheduled around a calendar rather than around us.
A fair amount of our work around here starts as a phone call about dust. Unsealed concrete sheds fine powder constantly, it gets into everything stored in the garage, and no amount of sweeping fixes it because the floor itself is the source.
We install Duraflex systems. The certification matters less than what it means in practice, which is that the product data is real, the cure windows are tested, and there is a manufacturer standing behind the spec rather than a generic resin bought on price.
Where we are coming from
From Laurel we cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish. If you are inside about a hundred miles, we will come and look at the slab.
Full list on the service areas page.
How the day runs
The floor tells us what it needs before we quote anything. The grinder and the extraction come in first, and the opening stretch of any job is dust control rather than visible progress.
Once the slab is open we chase the cracks, take down the high spots and remove whatever was on the floor before. Residential floors are usually a one day job start to finish.
Started 2021, family owned, and the people on your floor are the people who own it.
Sunlight through a garage door will fade a cheap floor unevenly along the door line. UV-stable topcoats exist precisely for that. Blends are on the finishes page and finished work is in the gallery.
Hinds County questions
Which towns in Hinds County do you cover?
All of them. Byram, Clinton, Terry, Jackson.
How far will you travel?
We work out of Laurel and cover roughly a hundred miles in every direction. That takes in Jones County, Rankin, Simpson and Lamar to the north and west, the whole Mississippi coast from Bay St. Louis through Biloxi to Pascagoula, across into Baldwin and Mobile County in Alabama, and west to St. Tammany Parish.
Residential and commercial?
Both. Garages and patios through to kitchens, warehouses and clinics.
How long does an install take?
One day install, 12 hours to walk, 48 to drive.
What about the slab condition?
Exterior concrete has UV and thermal cycling on top of everything else. Materials that are fine indoors amber and chalk outside, so exterior work gets a UV-stable topcoat as standard.

A quick call tells you more than a website can.
