Floors we coat around Covington
Our home county. Laurel and Ellisville between them cover most of what we do close to the shop.
Slabs with in-floor heat or embedded conduit change how aggressively we can grind. We locate it first rather than finding it with a diamond.
What a Covington job usually involves
Patios and porches are the other half of the residential work in this area. Exterior concrete goes gray, grows algae in the shade and turns slick when it rains, and a UV-stable textured coating solves all three at once.
Grind in the morning, coat in the afternoon, walk on it that night.
Humidity is the constant in this part of the state. It affects cure times, it affects how the resin flows, and in summer it means working earlier in the day rather than pushing through the afternoon.
A lot of the calls we take start with somebody having tried a big-box garage floor kit. Those sit on top of sealed concrete and peel, and the removal is more work than the original job would have been.
The slab decides the spec.
Before we quote anything
Where a floor has been patched repeatedly with different products, each patch behaves differently under a grinder and under resin. Sometimes the right call is removing the patches entirely.
Clear topcoats are not all clear. Some amber noticeably within a year indoors under LED light. We use ones that do not.
Living with it afterwards
Maintenance is a dust mop and occasionally a neutral cleaner. No wax, no sealing, no annual reapplication. If someone tells you a coated floor needs yearly maintenance, they are describing their own product failing.
If a crack appears in the slab years later, that is the concrete moving, not the coating failing. It can be chased and repaired without redoing the floor.

Commercial work around Covington
The honest answer for most homes in this area is that it is a one day job on a sound slab, and the only thing that changes that is what we find when we start grinding.
Commercial work in a town this size is usually small and specific. One wet room, one kitchen, one shop floor that has to be closed for the shortest possible time. Those jobs get planned around opening hours from the first conversation.
The full roster runs to seventy five different rooms, from garages through to food plants and clean rooms. It is all on the services page.
Why the prep matters more than the color
Slabs with in-floor heat or embedded conduit change how aggressively we can grind. We locate it first rather than finding it with a diamond.
Commercial slabs that have been in service take oil deep into the pores. Surface degreasing does not reach it, and resin will not bond through it. We grind it out, and where contamination runs deep we prime with something built to tolerate it.
Epoxy is the body of the system and polyaspartic is the armour. The epoxy bonds and builds thickness, the topcoat takes the abrasion and the UV. Using one without the other is where most cheap floors go wrong.
Grinding is most of the job.

How the day runs
We start by finding the cracks nobody mentioned. We arrive with the grinder and the dust extraction, and the first stretch is noise and containment rather than anything that looks like progress. Getting the slab open and clean is what the rest of the day depends on.
Cracks get chased out and filled, high spots come down, and any old coating comes off rather than getting buried. Then the primer goes on and the day becomes a sequence with cure windows in it. The whole system goes down in one visit on most homes.
One crew, four names, and the founder on site. That is the whole company. Nothing gets lost between the quote and the floor because it is the same people doing both.
A coated floor can be repaired in place. Damage gets ground back locally, rebuilt and blended, which is not possible with tile or with polished concrete. If you want to see blends first, the chip deck comes to you, and there are finished floors on the gallery page.
Covington questions
Do you cover Covington?
Yes. We are based in Laurel and Covington is inside our normal working radius.
How long does a garage take?
We grind, coat and topcoat in one visit on most residential jobs.
What is the slab likely to need?
Our home county. Laurel and Ellisville between them cover most of what we do close to the shop. A slab poured in sections often has slight height differences at the seams. Those get ground flat rather than coated over, because a coating follows the shape it is laid on.
Can you match a color?
Yes. The chip deck comes to you so you choose against your own light.
Do you do commercial work here?
Yes. Shops, kitchens, clinics and warehouses across Jones County.
