What the install actually looks like
What goes wrong with coatings almost always goes wrong underneath them.
A coating is only as good as the grind under it. We turn up with the grinder and the extraction first, and the first hour is dust and noise rather than anything that looks like progress. Polished or metallic, matched to the fit-out.
Once the slab is open and clean we chase any cracks, fill them, and grind those flat. Then the primer goes down, and from that point the day is a sequence with cure windows in it rather than a job you can rush. Most of our residential installs are complete within a single working day.

What we find under a clothing store epoxy job
A slab that has been acid etched instead of ground has an inconsistent profile. Some areas take the coating and some do not, and you cannot tell which until it fails. We grind regardless of what was done before.
Where a floor has been patched repeatedly with different products, each patch behaves differently under a grinder and under resin. Sometimes the right call is removing the patches entirely.
The system we specify
Moisture-tolerant primers exist for a reason and cost more for a reason. On a damp slab they are the difference between a floor and a warranty claim.
Primers, base, broadcast and topcoat are four separate products that have to be compatible. Mixing brands across layers is how delamination happens.

A retail floor is doing two jobs at once
It has to survive the traffic and it has to look like part of the fit-out. Those pull in opposite directions. The most durable finishes are textured and dark, and the finishes that photograph well are smooth and bright. Where a floor lands between those is a decision worth making deliberately rather than by default.
The practical constraint in retail is almost always time. You cannot close for a week. That means phasing the work, or working nights, or using a fast-cure system that is walkable before you open. All three are possible and they cost differently, so it is worth saying up front which one matters most to you.

Living with the floor afterwards
Pressure washing exterior coated concrete is fine at sensible pressure. Holding a turbo nozzle in one place is not.
Keep the drains clear in a wet room. Standing water is not a problem for the coating and is a problem for everything else.

Is my area inside your radius?
Yes. We cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish, roughly a hundred miles out from Laurel.
Who will be in my building?

Can I see the colour before deciding?
Yes. We bring the chip deck out and you pick the blend against your own light and your own walls. Colours read differently under LED, under a skylight and under a garage door that is half open, so choosing off a photograph is how people end up disappointed.
Does a cracked slab rule this out?
Commercial slabs that have been in service take oil deep into the pores. Surface degreasing does not reach it, and resin will not bond through it. We grind it out, and where contamination runs deep we prime with something built to tolerate it.
How do I stop it wearing?
Expect the finish to look the same in five years if it is looked after. That is the point of specifying properly rather than cheaply.
Why does the topcoat matter?
Cure times are temperature dependent, and a garage in August behaves differently from the same garage in January. We schedule around it rather than pretending it does not matter.
