Bowling Alley Epoxy that survives the room
Approach areas and back-of-house take a beating. Most of our residential installs are complete within a single working day.

What we actually install
Hard-wearing coating clear of the lane surface.
First we make the slab ready, then the finish is the easy part. Dropped balls, food and heavy footfall.

What the install actually looks like
No two slabs in Jones County behave the same way.
Moisture gets tested before resin gets opened. We turn up with the grinder and the extraction first, and the first hour is dust and noise rather than anything that looks like progress. Hard-wearing coating clear of the lane surface.
Once the slab is open and clean we chase any cracks, fill them, and grind those flat. Then the primer goes down, and from that point the day is a sequence with cure windows in it rather than a job you can rush. A typical garage is a one day install. You are walking on it that evening.
Kevin started ICM in 2021. The team that keeps it going is Aaron Garner, Kyler Welch and Averie Garner. That matters on a bowling alley epoxy job because the person who decided the spec is the person holding the squeegee, so nothing gets lost between the quote and the floor.
Used a lot of flooring companies over the years on various jobs and lemme tell you you’re in good hands with these guys. From the quote to the finished job they were nothing short of professional.Verified review
Other fitness floors we coat
The slab decides the spec.
What we find under a bowling alley epoxy job
Moisture, contamination and surface profile are the three things that decide whether a floor lasts. Color is the easy part and the only part most people ask about.
A slab that has been acid etched instead of ground has an inconsistent profile. Some areas take the coating and some do not, and you cannot tell which until it fails. We grind regardless of what was done before.
The system we specify
Everything we install is a system that has been tested as a system. That is the practical value of working to a manufacturer spec instead of improvising.
Polished concrete uses a densifier that reacts chemically with the slab, hardening it rather than coating it. There is nothing to peel because there is no film.
Specified from the load, not a brochure.
Impact is a different problem from wear
Most floors are specified for abrasion, which is a slow surface problem. A gym floor has to survive impact, which is a sudden structural one. A dropped barbell delivers its whole energy into a few square inches, and a thin rigid coating over concrete will spall at that point no matter how hard the topcoat is.
The answer is build thickness in the drop zones and a topcoat with some flexibility rather than maximum hardness. Under matting the coating still matters, because sweat and cleaning water get under mats and sit there. A sealed non-porous floor under the mats is what stops that becoming a smell you cannot find the source of.
One visit, one day, then 48 hours before the car goes back on.
What we specify for training floors

What this floor has to put up with
Dropped balls, food and heavy footfall. Hard-wearing coating clear of the lane surface. That combination is what we specify against, and it is why a bowling alley epoxy job is quoted from the room rather than from a rate card.
The parts the lane resurfacer never touches. One day install, 12 hours to walk, 48 to drive.
Living with the floor afterwards
The honest maintenance answer is that there is almost none, and that is most of why people choose it.
If a crack appears in the slab years later, that is the concrete moving, not the coating failing. It can be chased and repaired without redoing the floor.
From Laurel we cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish. If you are inside about a hundred miles, we will come and look at the slab. See the areas we cover.
Questions we get asked
How long will my floor be out of use?
Most of our residential installs are complete within a single working day.
What happens to the slab before you coat it?
Hard-wearing coating clear of the lane surface. The slab sets the spec, not the brochure.
Will it stand up to the traffic here?
Dropped balls, food and heavy footfall. We specify the build thickness against the actual use, not a standard sheet.
Do you come out to the coast?
We cover south Mississippi, the coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish, roughly a hundred miles out from Laurel.
Do you use subcontractors?
Kevin Garner set this up in 2021 for his family to carry on.
Can I see the color before deciding?
Yes. We bring the chip deck out and you pick the blend against your own light and your own walls. Colors read differently under LED, under a skylight and under a garage door that is half open, so choosing off a photograph is how people end up disappointed.
Is an old slab a problem?
Where a floor has been patched repeatedly with different products, each patch behaves differently under a grinder and under resin. Sometimes the right call is removing the patches entirely.
How do I look after it?
Expect the finish to look the same in five years if it is looked after. That is the point of specifying properly rather than cheaply.
Why not just use floor paint?
Clear topcoats are not all clear. Some amber noticeably within a year indoors under LED light. We use ones that do not.
