Salt is the quiet problem on coast jobs. It comes in on tires, soaks into unsealed concrete, and sits there pushing back out. Grinding removes the loaded surface layer so the new floor is not fighting it from day one.
What a Meridian Station job usually involves
The honest answer for most homes in this area is that it is a one day job on a sound slab, and the only thing that changes that is what we find when we start grinding.
One day on site for most homes. Full cure for vehicles is 48 hours.
Storage rooms, laundry rooms and utility spaces come up often enough to mention. Small floors, quick installs, and usually the same system as a garage at a smaller scale.
Where a garage has been used as a workshop there is usually oil worked deep into the pores in one or two spots. Surface cleaning does not reach it. We grind it out and prime over what is left.
The slab decides the spec.
Before we quote anything
A slab poured in sections often has slight height differences at the seams. Those get ground flat rather than coated over, because a coating follows the shape it is laid on.
Dark floors show dust and light floors show tire marks. There is no color that hides everything, and we would rather say that than sell a finish that disappoints.
Living with it afterwards
A coated floor can be repaired in place. Damage gets ground back locally, rebuilt and blended, which is not possible with tile or with polished concrete.
Rubber mats left permanently on a coated floor can mark it. Not damage, but a visible outline. If you use mats, move them occasionally.

Commercial work around Meridian Station
A lot of the calls we take start with somebody having tried a big-box garage floor kit. Those sit on top of sealed concrete and peel, and the removal is more work than the original job would have been.
Where a property has been rented out the slab has usually had a harder life than the owner realises. We would rather look at it than quote off a description.
The full roster runs to seventy five different rooms, from garages through to food plants and clean rooms. It is all on the services page.
Why the prep matters more than the color
A lot of the slabs we open up have been sealed at some point with an acrylic nobody remembers. It reads as clean concrete until the diamonds hit it and the surface loads up. That is a full mechanical removal, not a light scuff, and it changes the day.
Where a floor has been patched repeatedly with different products, each patch behaves differently under a grinder and under resin. Sometimes the right call is removing the patches entirely.
Full flake broadcast means chip thrown to refusal, so the floor is a continuous layer of vinyl rather than a base coat with decoration on it. That is what gives the texture its grip and what stops the color wearing through.
Grinding is most of the job.
Getting to you
We work out of Laurel and cover roughly a hundred miles in every direction. That takes in Jones County, Rankin, Simpson and Lamar to the north and west, the whole Mississippi coast from Bay St. Louis through Biloxi to Pascagoula, across into Baldwin and Mobile County in Alabama, and west to St. Tammany Parish.
Meridian Station sits in Lauderdale County. See the other towns we cover on the Lauderdale County page or the full service areas list.

How the day runs
Before anything is mixed we know what the floor is sitting on. We arrive with the grinder and the dust extraction, and the first stretch is noise and containment rather than anything that looks like progress. Getting the slab open and clean is what the rest of the day depends on.
Cracks get chased out and filled, high spots come down, and any old coating comes off rather than getting buried. Then the primer goes on and the day becomes a sequence with cure windows in it. A day on site is the normal answer for a residential floor.
Kevin started ICM in 2021. The team that keeps it going is Aaron Garner, Kyler Welch and Averie Garner. Nothing gets lost between the quote and the floor because it is the same people doing both.
Maintenance is a dust mop and occasionally a neutral cleaner. No wax, no sealing, no annual reapplication. If someone tells you a coated floor needs yearly maintenance, they are describing their own product failing. If you want to see blends first, the chip deck comes to you, and there are finished floors on the gallery page.
Meridian Station questions
Do you cover Meridian Station?
Yes. We are based in Laurel and Meridian Station is inside our normal working radius.
How long does a garage take?
Single day install is standard here. The waiting afterwards is just cure time.
What is the slab likely to need?
Around Meridian. Residential and light commercial. Control joints and cracks are not the same thing and get treated differently. A control joint is doing a job and needs to stay flexible. A crack is failure and gets chased out, filled with a rigid polyurea and ground flat before anything goes over it.
Can you match a color?
Yes. The chip deck comes to you so you choose against your own light.
Do you do commercial work here?
Yes. Shops, kitchens, clinics and warehouses across Lauderdale County.
How do I get a quote?
Call 601-319-9619 and describe the room, or send the details and we will come look at the slab.
Call and we will walk the space with you.
Family run since 2021, and the same four people who quote your floor are the ones who install it. Covering Laurel and south Mississippi, the Gulf Coast, coastal Alabama and St. Tammany Parish. Send us the details or see finished floors.
